Once upon a time in the land of suds and sass, a small purple monkey with big dreams—and even bigger eyes—burst onto the scene. Her name? Melinda. Her mission? To make bath time a whole lot weirder, wilder, and way more fun.

So… Who Is She?

Melinda isn’t just a plush purple monkey. She’s the official mascot, muse, and mischief-maker of Melinda Smells. She's got the snark of a sitcom sidekick, the charm of a 90s pop star, and the entrepreneurial drive of a monkey who really wants to retire on a tropical island stocked with banana-scented everything.

She’s been there through every soap spill, every beard balm meltdown, and every “wait... is that supposed to be lavender?” fragrance test. Yes, she does laugh at us on occasion. 

Her Glow-Up

She started her life just as a soft, sweet, slightly odd-looking toy with fabulous lashes and a questionable fashion sense. A best friend to one blonde little babe at the ripe old  age of 3. She's been on every adventure and been through every heartbreak. Now? She’s a calendar model, spokesmonkey, and the undisputed star of Purple Monkey Day (Sept 5—mark it and send cupcakes).

Melinda has an eye for FUN in any shape or form. She lives to dress up. She sometimes wears mustaches. Sometimes tiaras. One time, we caught her wearing both. That was a day.

Her Personality in 3 Words:

• Sassy.

• Soapy.

• Slightly chaotic.

 

Why We Love Her:

Because she reminds us to have fun. To keep it weird. To never take ourselves too seriously—even when the soap cracks, the lotion separates, or the label prints sideways. Melinda’s here for the mess and the magic. Finger hearts flying!

 

Nothing leaves our studio without the approval of Melinda first. And we'll have you know, she is quite the fussy monkey!
